Time for blog candy!!!!!

Whoo hoo! We did it! I should hit 5,000 hits today! I am so excited to offer my first blog candy! Ooooh, I need to settle down and tell you what it is!!

I picked a theme from my recent Pamper Yourself card. You are all crazy stampers and mebbe your neck is hurting from a long stretch of creativity. It IS very hard work and I know I have walked away from my craft table with a sore neck or shoulder. Let me pamper the winner. Please post a comment on this post before Friday night and I will pick a random winner. The winner will get Lavender bath foam, bath salts, body wash, a lavender loofa, a votive candle, a Dove chocolate bar, and the card I made. For comments, let me have some feedback about my blog in general, or even, ways that you pamper yourself that doesn't include crafts! Does a hammock sound good? Lounging in a pool? With this crummy long winter here in Toledo, I am dying for a warm, breezy day and some foo-foo drink and sitting in a lounge chair reading a good book.

Thanks for all the input and let's get this party started!

I love coming to your blog. You are so talented, I wish I could case some of your cards....lol.
Lavender anything is my favorite. ok so when I get the neck aches or back aches from crafting or anything else I get my suit on and go in the hot tub(which I have lavender scents for) anyway congratulations on your hits and you have a wonderful blog

I pamper myself.. hmmmm.. with 3 little ones running around it doesn't happen very much.... I am guessing it's going to the gardens with the kids and taking LOTS of pics and then coming home to clean them up(the photos not the kids! lol!)...
I used to be all into being fussy but now I am so busy running around it's not happening... reading what I am writing.. I think I NEED to MAKE time to do some girly things... .lol!

Beautiful blog candy! I pamper myself by locking my bathroom door and taking a "Days of Our Lives" bubble bath - you know, the one that has 5 inches of bubbles! Thanks!

You have a wonderful blog...I love the variety of cards you make. My favorite pampering activity is to read for pleasure. I read a lot for work but it is totally relaxing to read something for me. Have a great day!

Wow, I'm so glad I found your blog thru my demonstrator, Dawn Griffith, and friend.

If I'm going to truly pamper myself, I would have to say it would be with a full body massage for an hour or more! That's the best especially when it was on the beach under the tikki hut in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic on vacation.

I just adore your blog. What I really like is the unique way you create your cards. You use the same elements as everyone else, yet you combine them is a way I'd never think of. I particularly like the "another tall card" post--that card is GORGEOUS!

As for pampering myself--i get a good book, stretch out on the outdoor swing, and bask in the sun. Even though it was only about 68 degrees yesterday, it was heavenly on the swing!

Great blog...congrats on the hits! Sweet candy too. Very sharing of you.
De-stressing doesnt happen too often for me w/ a (almost) 2yr old and a DH that works nites. When I get the chance, I leave home, by myself, and shop, or go to a freinds house (to stamp) or just drive. Anything ALONE is pampering to me.

What a fun idea for blog candy...what I do to relax? Anything without my children (even grocery shopping!)...

your blog is great! As soon as I found it I added you to my Google reader so I know hwen you update. That bath stuff sounds yummy! I do get stiff & achy spending hours at my craft table but it's oh so worth it when I accomplish stuff!! My pampering usually consists of a home pedi & mani (about every 2 weeks) which I'm due for and resting with a good movie & some delish ice cream!!

I love the name of your blog...true honesty! I think that is what most of us do when you create!! I think you are very talented despite having three little ones...I have three bigger ones and it seems like I have less time than I did when they were smaller...good luck and thanks for your blog!!

Since finding your blog and adding it to my reader, I thoroughly enjoy visiting. I love your cards. Your lion card is just stunning. Hmmm a favorite way to pamper myself would have to be a hot bubble bath or reading a good book.

Congrats on your hits!! What I love about your blog is you have nice, clear, and big photos of your work. And I like how you put the recipe separate from your thoughts -- it makes it so much easier to read! What I would love is for your banner to be linked back to your main page -- I wish all bloggers would do that!!

Pampering for me is getting a manicure/pedicure one in awhile! I'm in a city so there are lots of places that do this for a fairly "reasonable" price!

I just found your blog through Allison's so I haven't had a chance to look around yet but to pamper myself I like to just read, watch a chick flick, and just drive (I live alone so I can do whatever!). I like Lavendar but Peppermint is my scent of choice in pampering!

I love all your wonderful ideas. Pampering consists of being alone, some relaxing music, a glass of wine and a breeze blowing (that could be generated by a fan). Congrats on the success of your blog!

I am a stay at home mom of the very energetic children. Making cards is what I do to pamper myself. I love spending a night alone doing something creative.

Love your blog and I just found you. I like to soak my feet and give myself a little pedicure. But I even feel like my morning Chai is a little pampering I do every day.

Now this is a great idea ... blog candy to enjoy in the tub! I think it is a good idea to offer an alternative to stamping considering we all have a hard time focusing on other things. TFS.

Perfect blog candy - since the way I pamper myself is long, hot baths. In the winter it is the only time I am truly warm most of the time. I am SO ready for Spring to come back!

Your blog is so fun and I am glad to have found you not so long ago ... Now I check in every day! I have 2 little boys so I seldom get to pamper myself when I do get free time I make cards to send to those in need - Ahhh but you said other than crafting didn't you!? Well then it would be that I take a hot bath and then curl up with a nice book, mainly my bible. If a break comes during the daytime and if its sunny, well then it's out on our little brick patio for a little sun!

I don't get to pamper myself too much with an 8 year old and 4 year old triplets, but lets see..... Getting a quick manicure and pedicure, going to the movies with a friend or date night with my husband (that rarely happens) or stamping!!! Anytime without the kids, I soak up the silence!!! Have a great day.

I have just recently found your blog.....but, have it in my favorites and check in each day.
The blog candy you are going to give away looks wonderful! I'm sure everyone would enjoy winning! Having a day that I can do anything I want to would be a "pampered day" for me.

Congrats on all the hits on your fun blog. I love your cards...the poodle & the pamper cards are my 2 favorites. I have 2 methods to pamper myself. I either hop in the hot tub, or I lay back in my massage chair and listen to music. Now that the kids are gone, I have lots of time to myself. Linda SS

TO PAMPER MYSELF????? ANYTHING THAT DOESN'T INCLUDE MY 4 LITTLE ANGELS LOL. That could be just a walk around the block

You have a wonderful blog and I visit often. To pamper myself when I get those sore shoulders and neck I use a rice filled heat pad that you warm up in the microwave.

It's been pretty crummy up here in Flushing, nw of FLint. Adding a car accident didnt help. I dont know if its considered pampering in the true sense of the word but being able to run a few miles with no pains and getting a tshirt and medal at the end is what I do for me. its about 20 bucks now to run a 5K-I remember when it was 3 with a shirt. Oh well, on e more swuare for my quilt someday.

Lavender is my gramma-I think of her every time I smell it. I tried growing some but didnt work so I grew mountain heather instead-he country's flower.

You know, I don't get to pamper myself often. For a very special pampering I go on a quilt retreat once a year for three days. Now that is pampering. Someone else cooks for all of us. We don't have to chase kids all over, don't have to clean. Just relax and sew. I look forward to it every year. A hot bath about twice a year with a good massage is pretty nice. Not that I only take a bath twice a year...LOL but it only happens about twice a year with no interputions.

Hi Lauri,
I have just told you how great I think your blog is. Your sense of humor is wonderful (and honest). Since we live in the same city, I too am dreaming of some warm days. Some sunshine would be nice too! :)
To pamper myself, I like to leave the babies home with daddy and go shopping. Sometimes I don't even have to buy anything. I am a thrift store addict too.
Have a great weekend. Let's cross our fingers for warm days!

Hi, Just found your blog. Like it already. Love the blog candy. My favorite way to relax is to sit on the river bank and fish. I love to listen to the water rush over the rocks or maybe I'll sit where the water moves slower and I just let my thoughts drift anywhere they want to go. I don't have to catch anything. I just enjoy the quietness.

Hello Lauri,

Your blog is a fun place to come and I'm proud to have it linked to mine!!

I LOVE to pamper myself with a pedicure at my favorite Spa. They pamper you with vibrating heat chair, bubbling water, wine, warm neck wraps, foot massage and of course the pedicure! And when I can't afford that I take nice LONG bubble baths!

Fun idea for a themed blog candy give away. I have your blog in my Favorites.

To pamper myself, a good book and a bowl of decadent ice cream, in bed with no alarm clock set for the morning.

Wow, 5000 hits!!! I am at less than 400 and can't imagine 5000. I guess that tells you how much we love your work. I sure wish I could be as good as you. Anyhow, this is terrific blog candy and would be a great way to pamper myself when I need it. The way I pamper myself now is a get away in the camper to the beach. My DH and I take off for Myrtle Beach and stay at our fav campground, Ocean Lakes and walk the beach with our doggies. That is pure relaxation. Thanks and congrats.

Well, I came by to thank you for my birthday card, and find a chance for candy! I love the card you sent me, and will be perusing your site more to check out what else you've done.

I'm already pretty pampered by my wonderful husband, but for extra indulgence, I like to get in bed with a good book and/or take a nap.

Thanks for your blog work and sharing your creativity!

My favorite paper is a good pedicure --- I try to treat myself before Christmas, my birthday month and for my wedding anniversary!

I'm feeling more relaxed just looking at your fine candy. Unless, of course, I don't win...AGAIN...in which case, I'll have to throw myself on the floor and have another hissy fit. The older I get, the closer I need to be to the floor when I throw myself on to it. I'm gonna get hurt one of these days.

I have just recently gotten into the bloggin thing, and I have been checking out everyone's blogs for ideas and etc. I have frequented yours quite a bit!!! And my favorite things to do to relax would be to head down to my craft room, for just me and my thoughts!!!
Great Blog! Keep the ideas coming!

Pamper myself? Nah, that's my husband's job. And he is good at it. LOVE my foot lotion! LOL!

Congratulations on your blog hits...you deserve it!! I NEVER seem to get time for pampering with my three young ones around (owning a daycare doesn't help either!) but my favorite way to relax is to stamp during nap time while watching "General Hospital" with a diet coke in my favorite leather recliner!!

I love your blog - great projects to drool over! My fave way to pamper myself is a hot bath with lots of bubbles, a good book, and the door firmly closed. Sometimes I have to add a glass of vino just to make it that much better - LOL! Soooo, your blog candy would be awesome to have! thanks for sharing and congrats on 5000 hits! Alex
