stamps: Coast to Coast

paper: Caribbean Blue, Kraft, Naturals White

ink: Staz On Saddle Brown, Creamy Caramel, Chocolate Chip, Caribbean Blue, Versamark

accessories: CropADile, eyelets, Natural Hemp Twine, aquapainter

This is a super quick all-occasion card for a guy. I made this for a friend at work. It is for her husband and they live by the water.

Yippee for Mickey!

paper: Basic Black, Whisper White, Real Red, Summer Sun, Bazzil, Mickey patterned paper
accessories: Signo gel pen, paper clip and eyelet from Disney, chalks for shading, letter stickers from Sandy Lion, Cricut and Mickey and Friends cartridge

I had purchased the Mickey and Friends cartridge a few ago and found the time to cut my pal, Mickey out. There is a lot of steps and little parts to get off the mat. I think he turned out so cute. It still beat the old fashioned way of hand cutting. I will probably use this card as a congrats for a nephew. The other embellies were collected at Disney in the scrapbook shop.

chippie hello

paper: Nana's Kids by DCWV, Barely Banana
ink: Colorbox Chalk in Orchid Pastel
accessories: silk flower from JoAnn's, brad from Creating Keepsakes

I got an interesting box of chipboard goodies from my friend last Spring. It had some letters in different fonts as well as flowers, corners, and other weird shapes. The colors, overall, seemed my match my beautiful Nana's Kids stack. This card was quick to put together. The toughest part was finding enough letters to form some kind of word.

Criss Cross card

paper: Purely Pomegranate, Perhaps by Basic Grey, Certainly Celery, Whisper White, Bazzil
ink: Colorbox Chalk in Dark Peony, Certainly Celery
accessories: ribbon by May Arts, brad by Making Memories, Prima flower, paper piercer, Mat pack, round tab punch

I had some scraps lying on my desk after a scrapbook page project. When I saw Beate's tutorial on SCS, the scraps went to good use. Her directions and measurements are so awesome. It was probably one of the most fun cards to put together. Thanks for stopping by!

Off to Kindergarten!

paper: DCWV Nana's Kid's Stack, Pixie Pink
ink: Colorbox Chalk ink
accessories: School bus by Jolee's By You, Prima, brad
Georgia font

I know, I know, it's been a loooong time. I am so sorry if you missed me. If you didn't miss me, too bad, folks, I have returned today.

Anyway, I went shopping at Michael's and Hobby Lobby with my coupons. Of course, I went above and beyond just my purchases. Hobby Lobby had paper 50% off singles and packs, which include stacks! I fell in love with DCWV Nana's Kid's stack. Glitter, embossing, and thick paper, what's not to love? I needed to make this card for my niece last week. I am late (which rarely happens with cards) since my kids were starting school and all their fall activities starting. The 5 of us in our family each signed a $1 bill and enclosed it.

With all those $1's, one of those was stamped with Where's George? It's a tracking website for $1 bills. It is fun to see where your dollar has been and where it travels after it leaves your hands. I have done 2 bills that were stamped. Kinda fun.

an idea I stole...

stamps: Happy Harmony
paper: Perfect Plum, Pale Plum, Confetti White, Basic Black
ink: Perfect Plum, Versamark, Basic Black
accessories: Old Olive marker, clear embossing powder, olive grosgrain ribbon, black gingham ribbon, Signo gel pen, heat gun, paper piercer, key charm

We just got back from vacation at a state park in Indiana and had a great time. I do have several souvenirs, though...many, many, many mosquito bites. Worth it, though. Back to stamping today. A quick one for you all. I used a just mounted Happy Harmony that I will miss. I was on a Plum kick after seeing a similar one awhile ago, but can't remember where. I thought it might make a sweet anniversary card for someone. Thanks for visiting!

a RAK thank you

stamps: Simply Said, Tagger's Dozen
inks: Cool Caribbean, Yo Yo Yellow marker, Marigold Morning, White Craft, Pumpkin Pie
cardstock: Cool Caribbean, cardstock vellum, card and brads from Colorbok
accessories: ribbon by Offray, paper piercer

Since I got the cute RAK (random act of kindness) from Kristi the other day, I made a thank you card. I bought the card as a starting board at Joann's from the $1 area they have. I never can resist colors that seem to match Stampin' Up's colors. It gets my mind spinning in the store and the merchandise is irresistible.
I also wanted to try a technique I had seen a while back on Michelle's blog a technique called Pergamano. I did a little piercing of a flower on some vellum and call it a technique. Her technique is a lot more involved, but it is a good start for a shortcut. The flowers in Simply Said seemed to fit the bill pretty good. I stamped on the vellum in white craft ink, pierced the holes, and colored the flower center with yellow on the opposite side.
Hope Kristi likes it!

flip flop card

paper: Lasting Impressions, Pumpkin Pie
ink: Colorbox Chalk ink, Stampin' Write Journaler
accessories: silk flowers from Joann's, rhinestone brad, small rhinestones from K &Co., Stampin' Dimentionals
Another cute idea from Papercrafts magazine compilation book. I love the cute flip-flop and knew it would be a cute card for a pre-teen. I love the fact that it would fit into an A2 or quarterfold envie, but it seems too small. I am going to try to enlarge to fit in a #10 or business size envelope. I will definitely make a couple more of these. I put one of these together in less than 15 minutes! It might have taken me longer to pick out the paper.

yes, I am back!

stamps: Delight in Life, Everyday Flexible Phrases
paper: Basic Grey Lilykate (Parasol), Certainly Celery, Ballet Blue, Lavender Lace, Whisper White, Barely Banana
inks: Close to Cocoa (dye and Pigment), Pumpkin Pie, Marigold Morning, Ballet Blue, Regal Rose, Lavender Lace, Certainly Celery
accessories: narrow organdy, Stampin' Dimentionals, clear embossing powder, aquapainters, Dazzling Diamonds glitter, sponges

I'm visiting for today since the baseball game today is later today and I have some breathing room! A friend requested a "I love you, Mom" card and this is what I came up with. I used a sketch from SCS #114 and chose my colors from the awesome and dependable Basic Grey line. 2 things I noted while making this card: I wish I had brown embossing powder (since I used brown ink and clear embossing powder for this one) and I found a new and easier way to clean my Aquapainters between colors. I swiped the brush right on in my stamp scrub pad. Wow! So much faster and neater than the way I did before which was to swipe it on my hand until the water was clear. Live and learn...

bub bye Roses in Winter...

stamps: Roses in Winter, Noteworthy, French Script, Print Pattern
paper: Cameo Coral, Very Vanilla, Basic Black
ink: Garden Green, Lavender Lace, Basic Black, Cameo Coral, Regal Rose, Barely Banana, Versamark, Certainly Celery, Colorbox Chalk ink in Charcoal and Rose Coral
accessories: May Arts ribbon, clear embossing powder from Stampendous!, heat gun

I am going to miss Roses in Winter and French Script when it retires. No, nope, I WON'T give them up. I stamped the rose with Barely Banana that was rock 'n rolled in Coral. Then, for the second layer, I stamped it with a second generation(or stamp off) of Coral. The top layer is Regal Rose. I really wanted to use the Cameo Coral tonight. Poor thing, so neglected. I did the leaves with Celery rocked with Garden Green.

I am real sorry that I haven't been blogging lately. The kids are making our days so busy! Baseball for 2 boys and soccer for one. We've been eating McDonald's WAY too much while on the run. My house is a mess and my craft table seems a little dusty. Hang in there with me! I really miss you all!

inks: Yo Yo Yellow, Regal Rose, Tempting Turquiose, Lavender Lace, Basic Black, Only Orange, Certainly Celery, Versamark

I got my new issue of Papercrafts the other day and loved this card and its colors, especially this time of year. Totally stole everything. I didn't even add ribbon! So against my style.

graduation time!

paper: Pumpkin Pie, patterned paper from DCWV
ink: Pumpkin Pie to sponge edges
accessories: ribbon, rub on letters from Imagination Project, Scrapworks alphadots and Hugz
It's time again to have a graduaion card for my second cousin as he graduates from high school. Ususally, I make grad cards from their school colors, but he lives out of town and don't know what the colors are. Yes, I know, I could investigate, but was in an orange mood. Guys like orange, usually, huh? Just a quick card...

another tall card CASE

paper: Recollections patterned paper, Bravo Burgundy, Mellow Moss, Chocolate Chip

ink (for sponging edges): Colorbox chalk in Olive Pastel

accessories: Cricut with the Beyond Birthdays cartridge, We R Memory Keepers XL eyelets and Crop-A-dile, ribbons from SU!, May Arts, and Michael's

I needed to make a wedding renewal ceremony card for my friend for next month. What do you say on those cards? Congrats? I went with the safe word of love. I got the idea and CASE'd this card from Joy of Cardmaking magazine. I think I might be stuck on tall cards these days. I hope I don't bore you all!

Whoopie!

stamps: The Art of Life, Simple Sayings

paper: Kraft, Green Galore, Barely Banana

inks: Regal Rose, Close to Cocoa and Green Galore markers, Green Galore pad, Versamark, Pearlescent Beige, Staz On

accessories: SEI ribbon, sponge, Inkworx

Whoopie! My desk is clean and I am able to create. I love when everything is clean and straightened out. I threw away and gave away lots of stuff to make more room. I am pretty much doing a happy dance since everything is getting back to normal. I found that I needed to make a couple Get Well cards for my stash. I missed you all! I am so behind surfin' blogs myself...

See ya tomorrow!

a cute purse

stamps: Amazing to Zany

paper: Basic Grey Romani, Pumpkin Pie

ink: Basic Black

accessories: copper cord, Fun Expressions buttons from Oriental Trading, Primas, orange grosgrain ribbon, brads from Colorbok, 5-in-1 envelope template

I have made this purse in the past using the envelope template and really love to make them! They are perfect for holding a gift card for some shopping! What gal wouldn't love that? Maybe if you wanted to put cash inside you could make a little pocket...ideas flowing here!

fun foam!

stamps: Karen Foster Snap Stamps, Bodacious Bouquet
ink: Basic Black
paper: DCWV Spring Stack, Confetti White
accessories: foam

I had seen a few cards using foam to stamp onto. You heat the foam and stamp while warm. Bold line stamps are the best. I experimented with other sets and the thinner lines didn't "pop". I kept this card simple. The toughest thing was cutting out those darn flowers! Reminded me of initially cutting the stamps out when I mounted them.

Moms x 2

Mother's Day is right around the corner and need 2 cards: one for my mom and one for my mom-in-law. I got my long ignored Paper Wishes kit out and found the colors that said "Mom". I added stickers, but everything came in the kit. I am giving my mom some hydrangea plants and thought this card would match!

stamps: Petal Prints, Wonderful Wings
ink: Brilliance ink in Pearlescent Beige and Pearlescent Orchid, Creamy Caramel
paper: Kraft, Orchid Opulence
accessories: May Arts ribbon, Orchid marker with splatter thingy, decorative pearls by Joy! Crafts, Stampin' Dimentionals

I have always loved the look of stamping on Kraft , but honestly forget about it. After a reminder last night, I broke out one of my favorite sets, Wonderful Wings. I will never get rid of that set.

anniversary pair (pear)

stamps: DD Fresh Fruits
inks: More Mustard, Green Galore, Rose Red, Chocolate Chip
paper: Confetti Cream, Green Galore, More Mustard
accessories: ribbon from Michael's

I made this simple card last year for my Anniversary cards. I thought the pear made perfect for pairs! I had seen this sentiment before and formed a design around it. Cute for all the loving couples I know. Do you all send Anniversary cards?

antique birthday

stamps: Simple Sayings 2

paper: Whisper White, Basic Grey Lilykate

ink: Colorbox Chalk ink in Creamy Brown

accessories: Primas, brads, narrow organdy

I needed to make another birthday card for the gal at work who buys my cards lately. Hope she likes it! I loved the card Daniela made and thought immediately of my new Primas I got in the mail yesterday from Jody! Love getting goodies in the mail-happy mail day for me!
